Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without the use of actual fixed braces.
Invisalign uses a series of clear removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets. The aligners are made through a combination of your dentist’s expertise and 3-D computer imaging technology. You wear each set of aligners for about 1 week, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss.
As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the final position your dentist has prescribed.
You’ll visit your dentist about once every 4-6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary form case to case.

Traditional Metal Braces
Traditional metal braces are lightweight metal brackets that are connected by a metal wire. Both adults and children can benefit from traditional braces, which gently align the teeth over the course of several months or years. Traditional braces are more effective at treating extreme overcrowding of teeth. They give your dentist the control they need to move the teeth in small increments at a time and the ability to most ideally correct a wide array of issues. For those who are conscious of their appearance, today’s braces are more visually appealing than in past years, with a range of color options for both the brackets and the elastics.
